While installing Prestashop if you are getting the error :
"Database server was not found. Please verify the login, password and server fields."
Check and comment the following attributes :
vi /etc/my.cnf
skip-networking
skip-name-resolve
skip-host-cache
skip-locking
Now restart the mysql service
The database will be get connected.
